We are the Spangdahlem Spouses and Enlisted Members Club
First, on behalf of our President, Mrs. Keyra Elmo and I, Dana Hodges, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to express interest and wanting to learn more about our organization.
Let me start by saying, the SSEMC is a non-profit organization composed of Enlisted spouses, active duty and retired enlisted members, and civilians (equivalent of level GS-7 and below). Our mission is to promote and preserve interest in the USAF activities; charitable, educational, welfare, social and recreational, to foster a high degree of morale among our members assigned to Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. In addition, we are active to support our community in which we live through volunteer efforts and funding, while working together to make a difference. We accomplish this in many ways like; offering annual spouses scholarships, host the Spring Bazaar, operate the Community Thrift Shop located in the Spangdahlem housing area, sponsor deployed family events, serve/hosts many events for own Airmen, as well as donate to and serve organizations like the Fisher House in Landstuhl and the U.S. Kindergraves in Kaiserslautern.
These are just a small sample of how we serve and give back in our community and enjoy doing it. If you need more reasons to join our organization…come out and make new friends, get to know the local restaurants, every month enjoy fun planned activities, and great deals on SSEMC trips and tours!
Our monthly general membership meetings are held at 1800 on the second Wednesday of every month at various locations. Membership dues are only $20 annually; yes that’s correct ANNUALLY!
Again, thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
Dana N. Hodges
